There was a reoccurring observation on our way up to the show in Green Bay, WI this time around. TONS of Illinois plates. Dave & Frankie are huge football fans and are also friendly rivals in said topic. Frank is a Green Bay Packers fan and Dave is a Chicago Bears fan. Side note: You may contact us with your grievances about Dave's loyalty as much as you wish. We will make sure he gets your e-mails! :P
All kidding aside, our show in Green Bay happened to be the night before a division game at Lambeau Field between the Packers and Bears. It made sense that we saw all the Illinois plates after realizing this…duh! Another observation is that the majority of those drivers still drive like they are in Illinois. If you've ever braved Chicago area traffic… SHEESH! Those that know what we are talking about, feel free to chime in.
We arrived in a timely fashion only to be greeted by a whole new bar. Bulldogs had us back in April of this year just before they shut down for the summer to tear down the old bar and rebuild from the ground up. What an upgrade! However, the capacity is quite small much to our dismay. Only 40 people are allowed in each section of the bar. The way that it is set up is a front area bar and a back room area bar which is also where bands play. So 80 people total. It's a bit humbling to say the least. But, we made due with the size room and scaled down the show to fit what we could on stage. Sorry to the people in back who could hear us but not see us. Hope you had fun anyway!
The show was fun at least and we really like the new bar. Nice job to Tony and his crew for taking care of the capacity crowd. Wish we could fit more people in! With that said, what other venues in Green Bay would YOU like to see us at?! Feel free to contact us with your suggestion and bar contact info. We would love to give our Green Bay fans more shows with the big production that we travel with. Thank you everyone for coming out to the show! GO PACK GO and DA BEARS SUCK!
