The weather literally gave everyone a break. Just enough of a break that we had a PERFECT night for a show. It ALMOST looked like a Wisconsin State Fair show. ALMOST! The night started out just fin. Load in is usually uneventful. Sound check is where we work out most of the kinks. We are convinced that gnomes mess with our equipment at night while we sleep. Sometimes a button gets inadvertently pushed and then something doesn't work.  Or a cord gets unplugged. Stuff happens and then we need to troubleshoot. Where it gets sketchy is when we don't have enough time to set up or change over between bands is too short. 

*Note to venues, when you hire a big band…. either let them come set up FIRST thing in the morning and make the other bands play in front of our stage show, or give AT LEAST an hour change over time. Just to put things into perspective, we typically need three hours before a show to set up our full show. Our production crew, 2-3 hours BEFORE us. So when you hire us, know that if you want the full show, we need ample time to get things up and running. 

Luckily this wasn't the case tonight. We love Wednesday Night Live because there is no urgency to get set up like there is at State Fair. Perhaps a second stage would be a good idea?! One band could setup while the other plays?! We find that festivals that do this never have to stop the music going and people tend to stick around and spend more money. Just a thought.  

Anywho, a fun night was had by all. Us included. Thank you LeAnn and crew for the hospitality. And thank you to the mob of people that joined us.
