Yummy, yum, yum. Who doesn't like a good ‘ol fashioned corn roast? It’s a Wisconsin staple and each area has their own version of one. Darien was the particular cornfest we would be attending. This tradition in Darien dates way back to 1960. The festivities include, tractor pulls, a parade, fireworks, music and of course, roasted CORN! YUM!
Our turn in the events of the weekend came on Saturday, Sept 7th. We played a solid 3 hour show much to the delight of a few hundred Cornfest goers. How much corn did we eat you ask? ZERO. We don't eat before shows because you NEVER know when nature will call. And as Frank would say when he eats corn… SEE YOU TOMORROW. TMI Frank. TMI.
Thank you to Jane and her wonderful crew of volunteers that helped make this show and the Cornfest such a success. You have a wonderful community and a wonderful event. We had a blast!
