Oh what a wild time this show always is! The day starts out with tractor and truck pulls ALL DAY LONG! It's a loud and dusty good time. One of the fun things for us every year when we arrive, we get to pull up to the racetrack and patiently wait until we are cleared to drive across the back of the track. Sometimes people egg us on to go for a lap lol. Not willing to get stuck but would'nt that be a sight?! The fun part?! Seeing how many tractors or trucks ended up in the corn field at the end of the track each year. It always happens; much to the delight of the crowds of people in attendance. Don't worry though, Utica Fest always reimburses the farmer for the damage. Way to be good neighbors Utica Fest!
This year, we have four of our favorite CP ladies manning the gate for entrance into the beer garden. This is a very strict 21+ show as it gets pretty wild. Think swinging from the pavilion rafters, crowd surfing, scuffles over space (it gets PACKED) etc. Mix some thick skinned tractor boys and drinking all day and you guessed it, WILDNESS, but mostly FUN. We have a few complainers every year about the $5 cover charge but hey, batt some eyelashes and remind them that the cover charge pays for their entertainment and that they can't drink without a wristband and the tune usually changes. HA! Pretty sure you complainers pay more for your beer than the $5 you pay to get into the show. Just sayin'.
All in all the night was great! Fun was had and people were mostly well behaved. If you ever want to see the wilder side of our shows, this is the one to attend. Keep rockin' Cherry Pie family & friends!
