Welcome to Rumble By the River in Big Bend! Who knew this gem of a tractor/truck pull was tucked away here? Big Bend is located on the banks of the Fox River in Waukesha County. The town is situated beside a portion of the river where it changes course from east to south, hence the name "Big Bend". Now ya know!
The afternoon air was filled with sounds of loud engines as we arrived for the show. We also could see that there was a huge tent and huge stage as we drove thru the grounds to get to the load in/load out area. That is always a great start to our evening; having enough room for our gear and stage show is always awesome.
Amanda roamed around and got some pictures and video of the tractor pull while we set up. She relayed ear plugs weren't enough as to how LOUD the pulls were. No wonder these professionals wear the big ear muffs. Ouch!
The show went on without a hitch. The crowd was light but enthusiastic to hear the setlist we had dialed up. We were treated to an AMAZING catered meal at the end of the show. Chicken, steak, a cold asparagus and bacon dish, fruit, pasta salad… DELICIOUS! Thank you to Steve and his crew for the amazing hospitality and for having us play your event. We had a blast! So much fun that we are already booked again for next year!
