Cherry Pie Rocks Columbus, WI! We came to rock and so did you! This was once a regular show in our summer rotation so it was nice to be invited back to play here once again. The setting was Fireman's Park Complex at the beer garden, Drexel Pavilion. Not much has changed here… the city added a cool wave pool and small water park to the complex, but otherwise the only thing different is the trees are a bit bigger! Ha!
We arrived in early fashion, always three hours prior to show time. Setup was sweaty and uneventful. Amanda is always walking around getting us on camera, saying funny and goofy things. We have PG and R rated material… mostly content though that is friendly and light-hearted. We have often teased that we could write a book or put out a video of Cherry Pie “The R Rated Years” for our fans… would y'all even be interested in something like that?! And no, we aren't talking nudity or NC-17 type stuff, we are talking colorful language and not PC topics lol. Hey, gotta have a little fun and speak freely at times, right?!
Tell ya what, the show was fun! But the fireworks…. BEST WE HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME! The display that was put on deserved all caps. Seriously. Who do you know sets off propane blasts that creates these huge fireballs that the crowd can feel the heat from?! And who sets on concussion canister blasts so strong that you feel it in the core of your body?! Good gravy what a treat! Would love to know what company put on that display. KUDOS! That was one heck of a show!
How can we even follow that up other than with a thank you for coming out to the show. We had a blast. Literally.
