West Allis got another slice of the Pie tonight! We made our way to Mother Of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish for a much anticipated show. We arrived under the threat of yet another storm. Little did we know how lucky we all were… the squall line that was headed our way had produced some F1 tornados in the Janesville and Sun Prairie areas. The storm lost a lot of its power by the time it made it to western Waukesha County. But it still rained. The theme of our summer shows.
Sold lots of rain ponchos this show. Also the theme of our shows as of late. How blessed we were to get those in time for all of the RAIN.
All this rain talk has us yearning for a dry show! Speaking of the show, it was lightly but enthusiastically attended. Even some nuns were in attendance. It was cool to see them enjoying some good ‘ol music. We did want to mention the killer stage that was provided for us… festivals and outdoor venues take note… This was a 40' by 35’ stage! And it was moved forward far enough so that there was room for our back trussing that holds the majority of our light stage. We need that room and height so that we can give ya the full production and light show. If there is ever any doubt about stage size or height clearance, give us a jingle. It helps to plan these things ahead of time as it is.
All in all, the show was without too many technical errors. Our lovely photographer did trip over a cord and unplugged a geyser. She didn't even realize it until Marty was on stage trying to figure out why it didn't work. Oops! It happens!
