MEET THE BAND

Andy Gonzales
Lead Singer
Guitar playing, harmonica playing, tamborine playing, crowd entertainer extrordinaire.
Music has been a part of Andy's ENTIRE life. Both of his parents are accomplished musicians so when Andy came along, he was pretty much born with a guitar in his hands. He even used to sit on a fence in his front yard as a young boy and sing his heart out.
Andy has been in several Madison based bands from Wild Heart to Super Tuesday to Kings of Radio to name a few. He is now the fearless and mostly on-time front man of Cherry Pie.
Andy's other talents include showing up an hour before the gig (after everything is loaded in and almost setup), sharing the weather predictions/trends with the band on show day via group text and waiting until the intro to our gig is rolling to get dressed for the show.

Dave Zettle
Guitar/Talk Box Maestro
Dave is the master mind behind the start of Cherry Pie and is one of the only remaining original members of the band.
His love of playing guitar started at the young age of 11. By the age of 15, Dave's talents for all things guitar became what is now a life-long passion for playing and teaching guitar.

Robert "FLAP" Welsch
Bass
Meet Robert George Welsch aka FLAP, which is short for Mudflap.
Flap learned some guitar chords from a grandpa-like neighbor at the tender age of 6. Within a few years of that, Flap was consumed by Smoke On The Water and the whole Deep Purple "Machine Head" album. Endless jamming of the SOTW riff ensued and continues to this day.
Robert has been involved with gigging bands since his early high school days.
Today he is the occasional lead singer, bass slappin' player for Cherry Pie. Flap secures his position in the group by helping Frankie Trash set up his drum kit.
"My hope for the future is to play my parts better so that I no longer have to lug Frank's drums around." ~ FLAP

Frankie Trash
Drummer / manager
Hits drums for a living and runs the band like a well oiled machine.
Number of Bands he's been in: A BAZILLION.
HISTORY: Frankie was gifted a snare drum from his parents in 5th grade with the rule that if he was still playing it a year later, he would get a full drum kit. Well, he gave up a few months later and switched to playing the Baritone. TRUE STORY! By 7th grade the Baritone lost its cool factor, and Frankie was willing to give the drums another go. He and his brother went around to Waukesha area pawn shops and music stores to piece together Frankie's very first full drum set! The rest is history.
Fast forward to present day and Frankie is one of the top drum entertainers in Wisconsin's cover band world.
Hit 'em hard Frankie!
