We LOVE Markesan. It's a tiny little slice of Wisconsin in the middle of rolling green hills and Amish country. You want some good hand pies or baked goods lovingly made by the Amish, then you are in the right place. There are numerous options along the way into town. Some of us partook in stopping and buying some treats. YUM!
On to the show… the set up was a little different this year. The tent for June Dairy Days was bigger and the stage was tucked at an angle in one corner. The bar ran off to one side, thus offering a “buffer” if you will of the “business” area. That was really awesome. People didn't have to travel thru the crowd to get a drink. It really was a brilliant set up. Kudos to whomever decided to switch that up!
The show went off without a hitch. We had a good time. And we are always treated so well by or beloved Markesan family. Thank you to everyone that purchased a raffle ticket for the drum set. That money went straight back to the Markesan Fire Department. Take good care of your first responders. You never know when you will need their help.
