The tone was set for the show as we loaded in to setup… we could hear the band 2 AM in the next room rocking away! Cool band! They entertained the masses that patiently waited for us to setup and soundcheck. Once the doors finally opened, the good vibes transferred right into the big room for our show. It was our turn to entertain!
Here comes the tone shift. Sad face. We had technical difficulties… sad face! The system that runs our tv's decided to take a nap ie: much like a toddler that needs a nap, it just wouldn't cooperate. It wouldn't work. It threw its tantrums and nothing would satisfy or explain why it wasn't working. More sad faces. That is really frustrating because it's not like we can just stop the show to trouble shoot. Which means we have to put on a happy face and play the show for you like nothing is wrong. Sometimes that is easier to do than other times. Sad face. We HATE when stuff like this happens, but it is what it is. After the show, Frank checked the connections… all was well there. Then he checked the program and boop… it had a glitch that a simple restart would've fixed. Sad face.
Despite that and having a few miscommunications timing wise, we had a GREAT time! We will say it until we are blue in the face… this version of the band AND crew is the best we've had. We have this text thread with the whole band and crew that is contributed to on a regular basis. From serious to mostly harassing and joking, we keep each other's spirits and morale up that way. Amanda always says we are the brothers she never wanted lol. Well minus Frank, for obvious reasons.
BTW… Those two go together like peas and carrots. She and Frank are the team that literally runs this band. Just don't ask Amanda what that is like lol. She will start to describe what herding cats is like. :) Can anyone say they have truly mastered herding cats?! Amanda has come close….. so don't get in her way ha ha!
Thank you everyone for coming out to the show. We are truly blessed to have such a great fan base. And a gazillion high fives to the Anchor for having us back for their annual “Breaking In The Weather” Party. We had an awesome time!
