Two midweek gigs of fun! This one happens to be on a Thursday in Franklin Park, Shawano. The setting, just like the night before, is in a one city sized block park, with an amphitheater style stage. This sort of setting encourages people to bring their chairs, blankets and coolers to the park for an evening with Cherry Pie. This too filled up nicely with around 1,000 people this time around. It was the place to be in Shawano for the evening.
We got to the show SUPER EARLY because we had spent the night before in Wausau. We has some time to kill so we moseyed the 60 or so miles to Shawano and took our time unloading the trailer and setting up. We were told an amazing and scary story by our production crew… on their way home from the Wausau show, they were driving south and all of the sudden a full wheel/tire was seen going past them as they were still driving. Little did they know until seconds later, that was their trailer tire! What?! How the heck does an entire wheel come off of a trailer?! Thankfully it didn't hit anyone or anything. It bounced off a curb and went into the grass of a yard. The crew was able to leave their trailer in a safe spot for the night and got back to it the next day to repair it and make it to our show, no problems.
With the excitement of that story winding down, it was time to focus on getting our show set up and ready. Everything went off without a hitch and the show was awesome. Thank you to the Shawano Parks & Rec Department for having us and thank you to all of you that came to rock out with us. We hope to be back again next year!
