What really happens at a Chicken Chew?! Anyone?! Well, we know it's famous in these parts and it also involves chicken races. This yearly event is a weekend of fun for all ages since 1972 in the heart of Wisconsin.
Music, fireworks, softball and volleyball tournaments, car show, arts & crafts, games, and the best BBQ chicken anywhere. We were so happy to be a part of it!
And guess what…. We FINALLY had perfect weather. Literally. The temps were comfortable, the breeze was light and we set-up with much anticipation to put on one hell of a rock show.
The pavilion began to fill, one by one, and before we knew it, the kabuki dropped and the rockin' started. Gracing our stage for Don't Stop Believin' was Amanda Pike from the band, Clove. They drove all the way from Milwaukee to open up for us, playing many memorable and singable tunes. Girl…. YOU CAN SING! Thanks for rockin' a song with us!
Tell ya what, what a friendly and FUN crowd. Even had the pleasure of a young first timer, Gunnar, joining us on the stage as well for some drum stick time keeping. You have great rhythm little man! Gunnar left his first time at our show, with a pair of drum sticks, some skull shakers, a new t-shirt, and stars in his eyes. High five little man! Hope you had an awesome time. Although that goes without saying really because we are pretty sure you did. Hope to see you and yours parents at another show soon.
With that, we leave you with nothing but thanks and gratitude for sharing your night with us. And of course, a huge thank you goes out to the fine folks at the Coloma Chicken Chew for having us. We had a blast.
