Wednesday Night Live has always been a killer show for us. Always. We think a mid-week show is not only a good idea, but it breaks up the monotony of work, and life in general. Live music has a way of doing that. This time around at the Budweiser Pavilion was no different. Killer weather (to start out with… we'll talk about that R word later), killer crowd (peak was around 2,000?!… that's a guess), and the cold libations were flowing. Mix in some dancing and live music and we had one heck of a mid-week party.
We saw lots of familiar and new faces in the crowd. Perfect stage to observe and soak in all that is going on around us.
Then came that R word… RAIN. It's a familiar theme this tour and it did one of two things… moved people under the pavilion or caused them to run for their cars and leave. Booooo to the second half of that sentance because that's what a good chunk of people did. They left! ;( Did ya'll know we sell rain ponchos now?! A little rain never hurt anyone. Just sayin'. Plus purchasing band merchandise helps pay for all the bells and whistle we shoot off at our shows. We are always grateful for the support. Plus it's cool to look out in the crowd and see all the Cherry Pie shirts from past to present.
So when that rain comes pouring down, accept that second shower for the day, don one of our fine rain ponchos, and stay for the show. We will still have fun with ya! Wet or dry.
