Well, we can say that for the VERY FIRST time we have ever played this festival, the weather was PERFECT! This was our third time playing St. Kilian FunFest and it wasn't cold and it wasn't raining. Winning! This also happened to be the 5th anniversary of working for us for Jason Lueck's production company, Breezy Point Sound & Light Co. It's been a great ride thus far with Jason and we couldn't ask for a more professional and nice guy to run sound and lights for us full time. Cheers to many more years together man. We love ya like a brother!
Cue our arrival into the fine Town of Hartford, WI. It's a great area! A portion of the 1,200 mile long Ice Age Trail meanders thru town. It's small (about 15,000 people) but bustling with activity and it straddles both Dodge and Washington Counties. Now that you are mildly acquainted with a little about Hartford, let's get to the show!
Making their grand re-debut, were our two giant screen TV's along with all the bells and whistles of our special effects. Frank has spent countless hours dialing up new videos to accent our light show and songs. Tell you what, that man is the backbone of the band really. He literally is in charge of everything. From contracts, to handling the dough, to merch design and everything in between. Frank is always looking for ways to better the band and make the show bigger and better. This includes countless texts and idea bouncing at all hours of the day to the rest of the guys in the band. Sunday morning at 6:30 am are especially awesome to get those texts or phone calls. Kudos Frank. But on behalf of the band, stop texting and calling between the hours of 6PM and 10AM. Please and thanks.
The show went pretty well; a clam here and there happens but hey, we are human. The crowd was into in for the entire time so for that, those clams are forgiven.
Thank you to St. Kilian and their volunteers for hosting us for their 2024 FunFest. We always have nothing but a good time. See ya at another Wisconsin city soon!
