This is a new bar/venue for us to play! That is always exciting. Always. Now the official name of this tiny little town is called White Creek. There were several “disputes” online when we released the event as to where in Wisconsin Dells we were playing. That is the physical address yet this little town is a half hour away from The Dells. No one had ever heard of a Double D's in The Dells! Come to find out this really is a TINY little town of about 80 residents that has no post office, hence the “Wisconsin Dells” address. Google maps got us there lol.
This was a big deal for White Creek as the town population grew exponentially for the day. Lawn mower races, food tents, cold drinks and some rain was in the forecast. There was even a small petting zoo and a bouncy house for the kiddos. That didn't stop anyone from enjoying the festivities as we rolled into the PACKED town with parked cars EVERYWHERE. And we mean EVERYWHERE!
A light drizzle began as we loaded in the show. Thank goodness for the tent that was put up for the stage!
We were serenaded by an exceptional singer from Nashville, TN, J. Edwards. Yes, he drove all the way to little ‘ol White Creek for a show. Think blue-collar Country Rock N’ Roll with a little southern outlaw mixed in. Great show man!
The rain let up just in time for the show to start. Rocking was in full swing for three straight hours. What a GREAT event and a GREAT show! Thank you for hosting us and for the good time!
