A Word from Josh:
Upon completing the drive up to Waupaca we all made the curious discovery that tonight's venue, the Indian Crossing Casino, is not actually a casino. Well, at least not in the way that we have traditionally come to know that word. There was no gambling to be found. Rather the nearly century-old building is a large bar with a very nice theater-style stage. It is located among a chain of lakes. Shortly after arriving I realized that I had been here once before. Back in the Summer of 1990 I came here to audition for a popular Madison-based band called The Cheeters. Their keyboardist had announced that he was leaving the band and they invited me to come up and audition as part of their soundcheck. I got the gig and played with them for a couple of very formative years. Now I was back 27 years later finding myself in the grips of uncontrollable nostalgia. Anyway, the show went well and we enjoyed the spacious stage and exceptional dressing room. I'm guessing it will not take another 27 years for me to return here.    -Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Dan Pappathopoulos:
"When I heard John's time with the band was growing short I made arrangements to get to see him one more time. I believe I first found this band in 2001. While I've never made more than two shows in any given year I've always enjoyed going. The entertainment value is very high and I want to thank John for the bright light and overall entertainment he has provided over the years. I've never seen someone who can be so irreverent yet show such great respect for the material at the same time. You will be missed."
