A Word from Josh:
Living in Wisconsin we know that we'll get weekends like this from time to time. Several inches of fresh snowfall led to many people staying home instead of venturing out to enjoy some live music. Considering issues of personal safety, we can't blame them. We did manage to put on a show and it was enjoyed by a crowd a fraction of the size we would normally expect. We appreciate the people who were brave (or foolish) enough to come rock with us. The intimate nature of the gig led John to get extra casual, even turning over the song selection duties to the audience a couple of times. This led to impromptu performances of "Wanted Man" and "Live Wire," songs that we hadn't played in many years. The absurdity of the evening reached its peak mid-way through the second set when Frankie came out from behind the drums and sang lead on "Pour Some Sugar on Me." Indeed, this was not a typical Cherry Pie show but we figure it's good to provide the tenacious fans who came out tonight with something unique. Unfortunately that's more than what Kelly's Bleachers Big Bend will get tomorrow night. They've chosen to cancel that show due to the continuing snowy conditions. Stay safe everybody. --Josh
