A Word from Josh:
Three shows into "bar season" and we've already played two rooms that are completely new to us. Tonight's debut took place at Shorties, a very small tavern just off of Highway 23 a stone's throw southeast of Ripon. The turn-out was respectable, but not as much as hoped for. Perhaps one factor was the evening Badger football game, an exciting overtime loss to #2 Ohio State that ended during our break. Still, the locals managed a good amount of enthusiasm for what we were doing and we all had a typically Cherry Pie good time. One woman seemed to get into the spirit a bit more than the others when, in the middle of a song. she inexplicably grabbed Kase's water bottle and started drinking from it. I suppose it's good to stay hydrated when you're dancing to 80s Rock.     -Josh
