A Word from Josh:
Cherry Pie is so fortunate to have many great traditions. Playing at Serbian Days is certainly one of them. This was our 10th Serbian Days performance in 11 years. They have all been great, and at our age, they seem to come more quickly than once a year. There is a comfortable familiarity with playing here. As usual, another band played before us. This time is was Country/Southern Rock band Georgia Overdrive. They sounded great and were very cool to work with. The skies threatened to rain all day, but stayed dry (just teasing us I suppose). The beer tent filled up nicely when we started our show. I really appreciated the crowd's response to my unique monologue late in the first set. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends and strangers alike that followed. I will not elaborate about that any further here, the people that were there know what I'm talking about. In typical fashion, the sky grew dark after the first set and the second set began like gangbusters. The crowd, which was already awesome, raised their energy to a new level and great fun was had by all. In all, Serbian Days rocked and, yet again, showed why it has become such a great tradition for us.     -Josh
