A Word from Josh:
Harley-Davidson is a major presence in Milwaukee and in Wisconsin in general. We've played many Harley-related events, many of them at Harley dealerships. But tonight's setting was unique. The Harley-Davidson Museum is not a dealership, but rather a beautiful tribute to all things Harley. It is a remarkable collections of buildings housing the most authentic tributes to Harley culture. It's an honor to play here. The stage was placed in front of the "Hill Climber" statue. From the stage we looked out on the central midway of the museum campus. As it filled with motorcycles and their riders it was an epic sight. For years I've claimed that Cherry Pie is a very suitable band for Harley events and we've been playing more and more of them every year. Yet, I must admit that the crowds at most of these events are not as enthusiastic as what we're used to (yes, we're very spoiled). I speculate that this may be because many biker types are just "too cool" to get all excited, scream, jump up & down and sing along. I can dig it. Tonight, another factor was certainly the fact that the show ended promptly at 9:00 pm, just as many in the crowd were really starting to warm up. It wasn't even very dark yet. Still, it was a successful show and we enjoyed it immensely. We hope to return soon.     -Josh
