A Word from Josh:

I have said on more than one occasion that a less than perfect Cherry Pie show is still better than getting poked in the eye with a stick. This was one of those shows that put that theory to the test. This was an early afternoon show following a late festival show the night before and two others in the previous three nights. By the time we hit the stage at the Sunset Bar we felt like the walking dead. Hopefully we looked a little better than that. Of course, the excitement of the music and the reaction of the large crowd helped keep our heads above water so-to-speak. The weather was perfect and the show as an overall success. Special props to John for his performance because this kind of busy schedule takes its biggest toll on singers, especially ones who have to sing the stuff that we expect John to sing show after show after show. He paced himself and came through the busy week with flying colors. The good news is that we have five days off before playing again. Normally that would not be a big deal, but in this situation it's as welcome as a iced-tub of bottled water in the middle of the Sahara desert. The even better news is that the next show following those five days off will be on the Budweiser stage on the final Saturday of the State Fair which is always very exciting. We're looking forward to seeing a lot of you there.    -Josh
