A Word from Josh:
This is our last weekend of bar gigs before the Festival Season gets underway in full force next week. Today's weather was gorgeous and portended a wonderful Summer ahead. I even went for a long walk before soundcheck and saw kids practicing baseball, families walking through a park and a host of other delightful staples of Wisconsin life during the time of year when the earth's axis tilts us toward the sun. Under these circumstances, it's easy to see gigs like this as comparable to last-place baseball teams playing out the final few meaningless games at the end of a season. No doubt, the beautiful weather played a role in the Club Tavern not being as full as usual for a Pie show. But playing 80s Rock is always a lot of fun no matter the circumstances. Admittedly this was not our tightest performance but the show did have its share of exciting moments. John was in a particularly goofy mood and that brings with it a unique kind of fun. We want to thank the Madison area for their continued amazing support and we hope see all of you at a festival near you very soon. Next Saturday we bring the road show to nearby Stoughton for their Stoughton Fair Syttende Mai celebration.    --Josh

Bittersweeteus:
"It's Friday morning, 9a.m.,and I see outside there's a fire in the sky which is the Sun brightening up the atmosphere. As I step outside thinking about the show that will take place that night, I heard an Eagle cry and felt a pounding in my heart. As I arrive at the venue which will be the last show for the season of inside venues, I'm outside and I feel the wind in my face and smell the earth in the air. Later on in the evening as the revered 80's rocking band, CherryPie, begins to perform, their music and vocals are precise and strong. The sounds pick me up so high to where the Eagles fly and carry me above the trees to where I'm wild and free. Even some of the songs make me feel thankful to be alive and yet,at the same time, I try to catch another glimpse of a dream of living life that's laid back and trouble free. As I see storms moving into the area where I live, the evening ends early for me so I can get home safe. As I'm driving home, I think about the show and how much it influenced me to where I just wanted to go high in the sky where Eagles soar."

Christina:
"Amazing show guys!! Had a blast!!"
