A Word from Josh:
Antonio's is a very good, modern room that is easy to work in. We played here once before and it was a good experience with a good turnout and lots of good buzz about the future. Unfortunately it took us 14 months to return so tonight felt a little bit like starting in a new room all over again. It's always great to see old friends who supported us in nearby Sheboygan in the earliest days of the band. Many of the others in the crowd were elementary school students back in those days, but they're here now and their youthful enthusiasm for the 80s Rock in inspiring and encouraging. There was definitely some crazies in attendance, the kind that we really like. There were the "women who will dance to anything." There were the "80s fashion statements." There were the guys who "pumped their fists as if the air owed them money." And then there was Sara who John invited on the to the stage late in the show after he learned that she is fluent in American Sign Language. Shy at first, with some encouragement from Frankie she signed the lyrics along with our performance of "Rock You Like a Hurricane." I must say, it was one of the more uniquely entertaining moments in the band's history. We plan to return to Antonio's again this year, so hopefully we can build up some momentum in this part of the state. Speaking of which, we'll be playing a big triple-bill show with our good friends Oil Can Harry and Chasin Mason at the Fireman's Festival in nearby Cascade on Friday, July 31. That will be a spectacular night.     --Josh
