A Word from Josh:
Serbian Days is definitely one of our traditional events, having played here seven times in the past eight years. For the most part things went according to plan. Before our show Lukyn Skywyrd played two sets of high-octane southern rock. Meanwhile, in the nearby Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral many other festival activities were taking place including music and arts. Our show got underway, everything went very smoothly and a pretty good crowd gathered in our beer tent. As is often the case, the second set raised the energy level and the crowd grew larger. But then we realized that one of the reasons the tent was so full was that it had started raining outside. Oh well, whatever works. Shortly after the show ended the rains grew even heavier. Typical procedure dictated that the public be cleared out of the area almost immediately after the show which put security personnel in the awkward position of telling people to exit the tent into a monsoon-like downpour. Fortunately for us, the tent held up well and we were able to tear down and load out our equipment in relative dryness. Another Serbian Days festival is in the books and we look forward to hopefully returning next year.     --Josh
