A Word from Josh:
Last Sunday our beloved Green Bay Packers knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, but in the process Charles Woodson, Donald Driver, Sam Shields and our own Shane Loy all suffered significant injuries. True, Shane wasn't in Dallas at the time, but I'm pretty sure his torn bicep tendon had something to do with beating the Steelers. In any case, it was serious enough that he could not participate in tonight's show. Enter one Steve Latka, long-time bassist with the Chicago-area cover band Arra. John and I both go way back with Steve and we knew that he was the kind of musician who could pull-off the role of last-minute fill-in. He actually filled in with us once before on 9/8/06. Anyway, he was available and battled through a flu during the week to prepare for tonight's show. He did a wonderful job and we really appreciate it. We expect Shane to be back in service in time for our next show. Tonight was a blast. It was a packed house including more birthday parties than you could shake a stick at. I've always said that there's nothing like a Cherry Pie show to help numb the annual reminder of one's steady march toward mortality, an attitude apparently shared by many people. So, a special thanks to those who chose to share their special day with us (some even shared cake too). Crowds at BuBs are usually pretty awesome and tonight's certainly rose to the occasion. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY Everybody!    --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Heather:
"What an awesome treat! I am such a music snob...but you guys totally rocked it! Set list was sweet! Will definitely look forward to a repeat! :)"

Mary:
"That was an awesome show! even the FIB was great! ( ;P ) i'm not remembering a better night out in a bar in a LONG time"

Bittersweeteus:
"Ah the 80's era. Where things weren't so stressful and life was more carefree. And CherryPie sure knows how to bring that era alive again by the way they play each and every 80's classic rock song. And John, who's a sharp-dressed man with a demeanor to match, opens up that era with the way he uses his strong vocals to sing those songs and adds to it his high-spirited antics. It's always nice to go back to that era and enjoy it once again. Which is made possible through the sounds that CherryPie knows how to produce plus, the talents of each member brought together makes for one fabulous 80's rock coverband!"
