A Word from Josh:
You know the old expression... you learn something new every day. Well, today we learned that there really is a "town" called St Lawrence a couple of miles northeast of Hartford, although it is apparently too small to show up on Google Maps. In fact it's so small that it begs the question... why does it have a full-fledged fire department? I mean, it doesn't seem like there's much here that can burn. But then, perhaps that's why they are able to put on such a cool Summer Picnic. The beer tent was set up in a large grass field behind the Firehouse. The surroundings were quiet scenic, especially as the sun sank in the colorful western sky. The crowd was late in arriving for an outdoor event. Things were still a bit sparse when we started our show at 9 pm but we could see a steady stream of people making their way in and by 10 o'clock things were swinging with hundreds rocking along to The Pie. There was definitely a similar vibe to the Fireman's Picnic we play each June in Theresa, and why not? Theresa is only a few miles north of here. In fact, factor in last night's show in Fond du Lac and we can call this the "Highway 41 Tour." Next Friday we head farther north to Mishicot for our third straight show at a venue that is new to us. Hopefully we will continue to encounter pleasant surprises.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Bittersweeteus:
"What this event lacked in size it made up for it in the scenery that surrounded it. I arrived early so I had the opportunity to watch the CP guys set up for, hopefully, a rock'n'roll frenzy. Once CherryPie took the stage, there were quite a few patrons willing and able to party. CherryPie's performance was loud and hard. And John, with his gorgeous looks and enticing charisma, kept everyone intrigued and rocking throughout the night. The songlist was good and the show was well worth watching. The night went fast but it was good at the same time. Keep it stong and keep it loud like you guys only know how."

More fans:
"Beatiful countryside-a little hard to find. Great show, you guys are fun to watch. Until the next time-KEEP ON ROCKIN!"
