A Word from Josh:
We were honored to be asked back to play at the Fort McCoy military base. But it is a little odd for us to be playing such a low-key event. As was the case when we played here last year, our show was part of a small party held for base activities volunteers. Originally planned to take place on the outdoor stage that we played on during our last visit, the show was moved indoors to the bar because of threatening weather early in the day. As it turned out the sky was as clear as a bell at showtime, but it was also very hot and muggy so I was glad to be in the air conditioned environment. Before the show we were treated to a very nice meal and we did meet several very cool people. But only a few dozen people saw the show and, although our performance was pretty solid and our mood was light, our show just doesn't feel complete without that ravenous PIE Crowd. In the end we were left wondering the same thing that we wondered last year... If they're gonna pay for us to come and play, why not play it up and try to entertain as many of our heroes in uniform as possible? Just a thought.     --Josh
