A Word from Josh:
This has certainly been our best Summer ever, and a major part of any successful Summer is cooperative weather. Still, it is inevitable that sooner or later the weather will frown upon us. Tonight was that night. While wet weather threatened several of our other outdoor shows earlier this year, tonight was really the first time that rain spoiled things to a tangible extent. A good tent ensured that the show would go on, but a steady downpour throughout the evening kept people away in droves. To those in attendance, making their way around the festival to play games, get food or use the Porta-Potties meant getting soaked. Personally, I had a craving for some hot dogs during the break. This resulted in some collapsed hair for the second set. Of course, we made the most of the performance situation. John seemed to be in silly mode most of the night, which usually means a lot of fun. Mid-way through the first set a church volunteer came on stage to make an announcement using a megaphone. Seeing an excellent opportunity to be a goof, John commandeered the megaphone and used it during the next several songs. It was a pretty bizarre effect. 'Too bad we don't play "Aqualung". We appreciated the efforts of the festival staff who were working every bit as hard to make the best of a wet situation.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Kenny:
"It's too bad the rain came and kept a huge crowd from coming-because those who weren't there missed an awesome show! You guys played so hard and so loud, I thought I was gonna lose my hearing; can't wait to hear you at Serbian Days..."

Bittersweeteus:
"Let's see, I could talk about the show or the rain, I think I'll talk about the show. It's a more exciting subject. The CherryPie guys did a fantastic job as usual. And as for John, well, John was John. All in all, it was a fun night, considering. The best things about going out are, having fun, being yourself, and not worrying about what people think about you, but then that's the way you should always be to enjoy your life. Like the song says, "It's My Life"!!"

SF Fan:
"The megaphone rendition of pour some sugar on me made for an interesting night. When they told you to turn it down you really turned it up. Great Show San Fran Rules"

Colleen:
"John using a megaphone......priceless"
