A Word from Josh:
Over the last couple of years we seem to have continued building a following in Illinois, despite not being able to land any gigs more than 15 miles from the Wisconsin state line. Tonight we broke through that barrier with a show in Schaumburg, a western suburb of Chicago (as the name of the club would suggest). Although this was Cherry Pie's first show in this room, it was hardly foreign territory for John, who played here many times during his time with Arra. I'm sure that was the single biggest reason we drew a pretty good crowd. For some reason John seems to be a pretty popular guy. And, not only did many Arra fans attend tonight's show, but three of John's former Arra bandmates came out to support the PIE as well. Everything came together to make a very successful show on a beautiful June evening. The bar hired an opening act which added some variety to the night, but it also limited our stage time thus forcing us to leave many quality songs unplayed. But, we are sure to play many of those at our next leg of the "Illinois Invasion Tour" when we penetrate even deeper at 115 Bourbon St on June 29.     --Josh

Bittersweeteus:
"Here we are sitting in a bar which is located in a state that is known for it's geographic proportioned land and of course our rivals in sports. As we're waiting for the show to begin, CherryPie is gearing up for hopefully a hell-raising night. The show started out as it usually does, with the guys playing their hearts out and the patrons well receptive. And John, whose conducting the whole evening, seemed to keep everything under control to where the patrons do just about what he says. But then, I guess you can get more of a response out of a somewhat medium-sized inhibited crowd then you can out of a crowd of WI hell-raisers that have been fired up from the get go. The show was well put together, but in the end, it was great to get back into familiar territory, good ole WI!!!"

Rod:
"Great Show Guys.... Talent throughout the band. Crowd was in to you guys! Opening act Fun With Lips, great job too! Strong opening act."
