A Word from Josh:
I was a bit surprised to learn that it's been more than four years (and two drummers) since our last gig in Fond du Lac. It doesn't seem that long ago, but I suppose that's what happens when you get old. Anyway, in a lot of ways, this was just another good bar gig. But it was also a benefit supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This event was put together by our good friend Lisa and her partner-in-crime Shannon. It included many fund-raising activities including sales of T-shirts & hand-painted medallions, a raffle and silent auction. We contributed an autographed guitar to the auction which was purchased by bar owner John who says he plans to display it on the wall. 'Sounds good to me. Publicity leading up to this night included an interview I did over the phone with 96.1 FM WTCX on Thursday morning. The show itself went very well. We were impressed by the room with it's large stage and high-ceiling... just the way we like it. Likewise, local folks seemed won over by our musical offerings. It's very likely we will be back at the Shack sometime soon.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Lisa Mick:
"I can't thank you guys enough for doing the benefit. I don't know if it's just a gig for you guys but for me it was the culmination of many years of trying to get you back in Fond du Lac. Then to have you back and doing something for a charity that is very important to me, it was sooo good. We ended the night with actually $4227 but have money still coming in from people who were unable to attend and still wanted to support the cause. I'll let you know John if it ever reaches $5000. I've always known you were the best band in Wisconsin, but I have a new found appreciation for the guys behind the mikes and instruments. You guys absolutely rocked the evening and made everything perfect. THANK YOU!"

Kari:
"Can life get any better? The Pie finally comes close my new hometown (yes, I miss Madtown), I get the meet my fav Pie and I made it onstage. Thanks guys. Love ya!"

Bittersweeteus:
"It wasn't much of an impressive place, but it had it's own unique style to it. Before the show started, it seemed as though the people were there just for the beer and to socialize. But that all changed when CherryPie took the stage. The people moved quickly to the front and were getting into the music and ready to party all night long. The band gave them quite a show with their great performance. John, who was appealing with his moves and the way he sings those 80's songs with great intensity, was able to be steadfast in being consistant about accomplishing whatever he set out to do through the night. It turned out to be a fantastic night. I also want to say that it's outstanding and noble of these guys to give their time and support to an organization that helps people that are personally dealing with certain types of blood cancers."

Donavan & Becky:
"Hey guys! Thanks again for another great show! The Shack was a neat place, and you guys just fit with it! It was always a pleasure to see and talk to you guys, and I hope all know how much you mean to me and my wife. You are always good to us and you have the best set of music!!! Thanks again, and we will see you soon!!!!!! Up The Irons!!!!!"

JamesKennedy:
"Don't Treat Me Bad!!!"
