A Word from Josh:
This was our last outdoor gig of the season and, with temperatures falling like Brett Favre's passer rating, it was none too soon. It was also exactly the kind of large successful show that we'd want to end the summer with. The St Gregory Festival is a pretty big event with three music stages. The other two featured the Rockerfellers and Mt. Olive. Our stage, located in the middle of the grounds, was the only one that was not in a large tent. The large open-air feel of this stage made it the best place to be if the weather would cooperate, but the worst if it were to rain. This was a major concern as the overcast skies threatened to ruin our fun all evening. But we once again proved fortunate as things stayed dry allowing for one Hell of a show. Musical comedian Pat McCurdy performed a couple of awesome sets before us. Logistical difficulties in changing over to our show cut into our allotted time, so we decided to forgo any breaks and ended up playing one long set for more than three hours. More trouble came during "Tom Sawyer" when the sound and light system lost power. However, we continued playing quietly in the dark. The power was restored within a few seconds and we were able to complete the song. In all, the show had somewhat of a triumphant feel to it. Still John suggested that, "Maybe somebody needs to pay their electric bill." Being a church festival, John quickly followed up with, "I hope I don't go to Hell for that last joke." One person who was in Heaven was long-time fan and good friend Jewelz. With her birthday coming up soon we invited her onstage to dance around with us during an impromtu performance of her favorite song "Don't Treat Me Bad." She really added some spice to our show. As the show ended a mild misty rain finally started to fall, which proved to be more refreshing than annoying. It was a pleasant end to a very exciting night spent with a couple thousand of our closest friends. 'See ya in the clubs!     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

fan:
"Just a great show! It was colder than usual outside, but the pie kept us all warm and fuzzy. Thanks for another great time."

Bittersweeteus:
"CherryPie had to compete with another band for the attention of the fans, but they won it hands down. There's no competition when it comes to there showmanship. They play louder, harder, and make those 80's rock songs go thru you with such great intensity. And John, who has looks that kill, uses his charisma, antics, and assertiveness to pass that ball of electricity into the crowd which puts them into a frenzy. I was very impressed by alot of things, but there's just not enough room to mention it all. This was one hell of a show for their last festival of the year!!"

CHERYL:
"THE SHOW WAS GREAT, MUSIC FANTASTIC...KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB. WANNA SEE YOU GUYS PLAY AT GRECOS IN OAK CREEK!!!"

BBdrummer:
"Another great show! It was a chilly night but my focus was turned away from the weather and on the band. It was a rockin show along with a little humor. This is the third time ive seen Cherry Pie and the shows keep gettin better. Keep on rockin!"

Greg Godina:
"Although it was a bit colder than I hoped, Jeanine and I still had a great time. To Adam and "That certain brunette that I know", I hope you 2 crazy people have a great birthday. With Jeanine by my side, I know I will!!"

Jewelz:
"Thanks guys for playing my favorite song for my bday! I hope I didn't distract you too much while I was dancing way! xxxxoooo"
