A Word from Josh:
It's the first of September and, right on cue, there seemed to be a bit of a nip in the air. Indeed summer is coming to an end but it ain't quite over yet. This was a festival that had it all. From the stage we could see everything that makes a festival in Wisconsin something special; A ferris wheel, the Zipper, funnel cakes, fried cheese and lots of beer. It's always a great feeling to play a role in such a scene of Americana. We played on a very high stage in an open air pavillion with a great view of everything. The crowd was great and the show went pretty smoothly. I was tickled to meet several fellow Rush fans. So much so that we played a partial impromptu version of "Closer to the Heart" late in the night. We've got a couple more outdoor shows next week to cap off our best summer ever. It seems that Cherry Pie has finally gained widespread acceptance at these types of family events. Despite our long hair, leather and guitar-heavy sound, we've always known that we fit in pretty well at places like this, but it has taken awhile to convince everybody else. I think that if Norman Rockwell were alive today, he'd rock with the PIE!

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Trixxxie:
"You guys ROCKED the OC!!! Well done as always and see you at Rooters on the 29th for my birthday!! YAHOOOO!!"

Lori:
"Even though it was chilly, the beer was flowing and the music was rockin' Thanks guys.. your freakin awesome. Can't wait till the next show."

Bittersweeteus:
"You couldn't ask for more at this festival. Rides, food, beer, and awesome looking motorcycles. But to top it all off, was CherryPie. They performed under a nice size open building. Here again, it seemed the majority of people preferred to stay outside the building. Maybe this is better, because you can enjoy the band from a distance instead of being up close and personal, which sometimes it has it's problems. I guess you can say, keeping a distance has it's advantages and disadvantages. The CP guys put on a great show and as for John, what is there to say that hasn't already been said. Keep on Rockn'!!"

Jay:
"Awesome show as always! I like the way you guys sound outside. Hope to see you next year."

Sue (a/k/a Wizzy):
"Excellent show -- you guys ROCK! The drum solo was especially good tonight!"

Rocko:
"Excellent time in Oak Creek. Great set list and a fun crowd. See you guys at the next gig."

Jewelz:
