A Word from Josh:
BuBs Irish Pub normally doesn't have live music on Fridays, but I guess that Friday the 13th was enough of a reason to bring in the Pie :-O Now, in doing the research for this journal entry I was surprised to find out that this was only the third time EVER that we played a gig on a Friday the 13th, and the first time in over four years. Well, I suppose we were due for some bad luck. Fortunately (I guess) our bad luck was limited to our guitar amps. Both Dave and I had issues with our gear much of the night, but it seemed to turn out OK because, even when our guitars sounded like shit, we were still able to keep them LOUD. Apparently, John was also having problems with his "gear", battling a cold. But he sang great anyway. If fact, it's likely that nobody would have even realized that he was under the weather if he hadn't coughed up a four-pound mass of rancid green phlegm into the audience. Aside from my whining, it was a pretty great night. A crowd of about 500 once again tested the capacity of the BuBs bathrooms. Actually, I was told that BuBs is planning a renovation later this year which will include an expanded ladies room. I hope it also includes improved air conditioning too. Yep, much like last time, it really got hot as the night progressed. With all the fun, music, alcohol and hot sweaty bodies it was easy to forget that it was 200 degrees near the stage. But the heat did take it's toll on us band members and we opted not to return to the stage for an encore. As they say... "Leave 'em wanting more" and if you want more, come on out to Rooterpalooza at Rooters next Friday. We'll be sharing the night with the Metal Men in this event which will benefit the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. It gets off to an early start and I'm really looking forward to it.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Donavan & Becky:
"Another great show, guys! The set list was great and it was a great way to end a week! Hope you feel better soon, John! Later, guys!"

The other "Tammy":
"Another HOT and SWEATY night @ BuB's, you really have to keep the fluids pumping ( lots of beer and water were the recipe for this evening ) The crowd started out somewhat mellow, but there was a turning point...that BOOM..the crowd was just going nuts, fun was had by all.... Sure missed alot of familiar faces this night ( hope to see everyone real soon)!! John kept telling the crowd that he was not feeling well.. Well, you would have never known by CP's performance, another rip snorting show... and what a great way to end stressful work week!! Take care.. the " other Tammy "!!!!"

Bittersweeteus:
"As usual, this place was packed from the stage to the front of the bar. And even though it was uncomfortable for the CP guys because of the sweltering atmosphere, they still put on one hell of a show! Their perfromance coincided with the temperature. Hot and no relief in sight. John who was recuperating from a bad cold, held his own and didn't let the stifling air stop him. He was still able to keep the crowd in a rockn' frenzy until the end using his steadfast way of accomplishing what he sets out to do. I had alot of fun, but it was nice at the end of the show, to step outside into the chilly night air and cool off."
