A Word from Josh:
BuBs is a bar that just recently started featuring live music and, oh boy, are we glad they did. It's a great venue with a good stage and great vantage points from around the large room. They really got our year off to a great start. There was no indication of a New Year's hangover as the place was packed with several hundred people ready to rock and, I must say, a few of them were downright insane. Leading the crazy train were a bunch of guys wearing blonde mullet wigs whose wild antics on the dance floor seemed to be scaring many others away early in the night. But as the evening wore on and the beer continued to flow everybody cozied up to the stage and we had a blast entertaining them face to face. I was excited about a new guitar that I recently acquired. It's a knock-off of an old Gibson hollow-body which was great for my AC/DC impression. Hey, a lot of people imitate Angus, but how often have you seen anybody do Malcolm? During the break the heavy crowd made it very difficult to get out to the front door so that I could go walk my dog (a routine of mine as of late). Apparently I wasn't the only one who had trouble navigating the crowd as explained by KAT below. The show was a huge success and it's nice to start 2005 right where 2004 left off.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Bittersweeteus:
"In the still of the night, the CP guys appeared on stage and played with such a fury to prove to everyone that they are the best band in the area. And to lead the band into this fury, was John. From his hard rocking songs to the slow'n'easy ones he was able to win the crowd over. And to add to it all, his outfit brought out his appealing and virile attributes. This night proved to be a great one in more ways then one."

KAT:
"Wow this was a very fun energetic crowd, what started out looking as if the crowd may stay in the back bar while the first song or 2 played quickly turned into a full house packed all the way to the front of the stage to the back bar and this is a huge room and people were totally in a dancing mood!!! it use to be a old bowling alley. All the guys had tons of energy and the night seemed to fly on by! To give you some idea of how much these "Germantown" people love beer...........towards the end of the night we begin to play AC/DC's "Have a drink on me" and it goes into Motley Crue and Pat gets up on stage and hands out beers, well 2 songs prior to this he headed back to the VERY crowded bar to get 2 pitchers of beer, he ran out of time and had Jody and I go get them, well by the time we got back there fighting our way thru the crowd, they had totally and completely run out of pitchers, so they handed us a bunch of bottles of beer and cups but unfortunatly by the time we made it back the song was ending, but Shane being the generous fellow he is handed the beers out anyways!!! Tammy always good to see ya!! Jody you rock!!! and to my thong buying friends you girls are too cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! see ya all at Kellys and i do mean "ALL" because everyone better show up!"

Laura:
"The night was awesome! Who knew there were so many 80s lovers in Germantown?!? Great place, great music, awesome people, who can ask for more? Quite busy as Josh and Kat have mentioned, but who can blame them? Don't worry Kat, your thong buddies will be at Kelly's! :) \m/"

Chimmy, Old Mil drummer:
"Guys, I was at the Bub's show and it was awesome. See, the thing is that the same night my wife had her X-mas party in the adjacent room. She is a teacher in Menomonee Falls and I brought as many of those teachers over to enlighten them on the 80's and Cherry Pie. Needless to say, they were impressed. Many of them closed the place down. Rico, you rule. Tom Sawyer and Cult of Personality were flawless. Most drummers won't even attempt them. Unreal. Great job, guys."
