Now, THIS is more like it! At the end of a month marred by health problems, cancelations and disappointing shows, we were thrilled to end our outdoor season on a very high note. This was our first outstanding successful show since the Waukesha County Fair back on July 19. We appreciate everyone who came out to make the event so much fun. Held in a completely open-air baseball field, cloudy skies throughout the day gave us cause for concern. But the rain stayed away and the crowd arrived in droves, easily exceeding last year's successful attendence. The enthusiastic crowd of all ages really got us going right from the first notes as the sights and sounds of Cherry Pie radiated across the countryside. Our show was the grand finale to a busy day which included a tractor pull and three other bands. The band on before us was the legendary JC Band who really got the crowd into a party mood with their brand of meat-n-potatoes rock in a set that featured a couple of guest performers. As darkness fell, our show roared to life, spurred on by the exciting crowd. This whole event is the work of John Greene who really seems to know how this town likes to party. We were thrilled to be a part of it.     - Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Bittersweeteus:
"What a way to end the summer! As the night went on, the fans were really getting involved with the band due to John's great way of enticing them. I liked the effect of the colored confetti against the dark, starry night. Just imagine what it would have looked like with glitter paper mixed in it and shimmering as it floats to the ground. The night was full of events that left me with a lasting impression and will hold me over until Rooter's. By the way, John, keep smiling it looks good on you!"

Chris:
"My husband and I saw you guys at the Waukesha County Fair after seeing Alice Cooper. After seeing you, we should have by-passed Alice Cooper and seen both of your sets instead. I was so shocked to hear you play Ah Leah from Donnie Iris. Being from Pittsburgh, we Pittsburghers think that no on but us knows Donnie Iris! Our 17 year-old son loves the hard rock from the 80's. The next place we could see you was here at Ridgeway. We came all the way from Milwaukee with our teenagers. You didn't disappoint us. Thanks, Josh, for playing Ah Leah when you did. Us old folks needed to get home and get to bed! We look forward to seeing you again soon. Johnny, glad to see that you're up and about again!"

Sue and Connie:
"What an awesome show? What was that cologne that John was wearing at the show. He sure smelled good, at least to those of us who were lucky enough to be close to the stage."
