A Word from Josh:
GO PACKERS!!! We set up our equipment in earshot of the crowd at Lambeau Field as they cheered on the Packers to a 30-9 win over the hapless Redskins. I was groovin' on the electric atmosphere of the brisk October afternoon. However, not everybody was so happy. Fresh in our minds was the other time we played here on a Packer game day. It was December 10, 2000, AKA the most miserable gig we've ever played!!! The site of the tent and forecasts for dropping temperatures caused us to fear a repeat of that infamous day, especially for John who was still trying to shake a nagging cold which continued to give him throat problems. Then, it was John who delivered me the bad news that Brett Favre had injured his knee. "It looked pretty bad" he told me with a look on his face as if a truckload of dead baby ducks and puppies had just been dumped on his lawn. A short time later, one of the ground-based confetti cannons chose a bad time to malfunction as an ornery John was trying to set it up. That cannon paid with its life. As shards of plastic splattered across the pavement amidst loud obscenities I thought to myself, "Man, we're gonna have a great show!" Guess what... I was right! Not only did John focus his frustrations into a killer performance, but a lot of other things started going our way as well. The temperature outside stayed up in the 40s and the bar staff did a much better job this time of weather-proofing the tent. We started the show shortly after the game went final and the tent quickly filled up with happy Packer fans who kept us warm all evening. Nick even played most of the show shirtless. A Packer win combined with loud 80s rock and hard nipples... It don't get any better than that!     - Josh
