A Word from Josh:
Kitt's Korner is a grand room about 7 miles west of Madison. It is often listed as being in Cross Plains but it is actually in the town of Pine Bluff which consists of about a dozen houses, a church and two bars. It makes nearby Cross Plains look like Chicago. Anyway, this show was an excellent opportunity for us to gain more exposure among local fans of 80s rock. Of course the hundreds of people who paid the big bucks to attend this event were there to see Stephen Pearcy of Ratt fame. The show actually began well before we took the stage with a very impressive young band called Middleworld doing their own brand of progressive, quasi-alternative, WJJO-ish, crunch-groove, art rock. Our set began shortly after 9 PM as the room was really starting to fill up. We took advantage of the situation with a pretty strong set that was well received. I encountered an unusual technical difficulty during "Wait" when the high E-string of my electric guitar got snagged on the spring mechanism that holds my acoustic guitar on its upright stand. I didn't notice it at first and when I stepped back it wrenched the guitar grossly out-of-tune :-o . I desperately attempted to re-tune it by ear while the rest of the band was playing. In retrospect, this was a really dumb move. But, I got lucky and I managed to get instrument reasonably re-tuned for the last few songs, or at least, as they say... "close enough for rock and roll." John did an excellent job of winning over the crowd and selling the band with his talent, charisma, wit and killer new outfit! I was so jealous! They just don't make shit like that in my size! :-o We want to thank Kitt, Jamie and the rest of the folks at Kitt's Korner for inviting us to be a part of such a fun event. They had a lot of logistics and stuff to worry about throughout the night but the still managed to treat us great. It was also great making many other new freinds as we mingled about after our set was over. We'll see you all down the road.     - Josh
