Greetings Cherry Pie family & friends! A winter sleep and two months of couch surfing was in order. The good news? None of us got fat. The better news… WE'RE BAAAAAAACK!
We rolled into the Cue Club of Wisconsin in Waukesha for show #1463. That's right. 25 YEARS OF SHOWS and that is how far we have made it. 1,463 times we played. 1,463 times we had fun. And 1,463 more shows to go. Well, MAYBE. Nonetheless, we were excited to get back into the swing of things. The anticipation of tonight was at an all time high; something to the effect of “absence makes the heart grow fonder!?”
We brought a lot of new stuff with us for 2024 . New songs, new light show, new merchandise, new video/photography equipment, new spiffy shoes… was anyone actually looking at our feet?
All that aside, what a killer vibe and awesome night. The house was PACKED. We heard that not only did the Cue Club have to make people wait to get in (think line out the door and into the parking lot), but we broke the house record for most people through the door. EVER.
We found this out via a note slipped to us while we were playing, from none other than the amazing Timm Dunn.
He really is the best live music hype dude in the area. Let's talk about that for a moment. Take note. Timm consistently and effectively promotes bands that are playing at the Cue Club of Wisconsin. He has several social media groups, according to area, where bands can promote their schticks, gigs, etc. The hype is real and Timm knows just what to do. Big high fives to this guy for doing his part for live music. That heart of his, pours heavy into all of the bands that come thru the Cue Club. Said heart is as big as his ambition. Thank him the next time you find yourself at the Cue Club for a show.
With that being said, THANK YOU for welcoming us back from our winter break with open arms. The love and good vibes are always appreciated and welcome in our world. YOU guys and gals rock. We will see ya another show soon!
